Over the past three years Sanford’s have engaged Alan Johns Earthmoving & Building to assist with the rebuild and earthquake strengthening of our site. We have found Alan very professional with all aspects of his building. On many occasions Alan was able to add value to our design in collaboration with the architect and engineers, Alan made several changes which resulted in a far superior build for us. One of Alan’s most recent projects for us was the demolition of our earthquake weakened ice tower. Alan was able to remove the ice tower with minimal effect on any production onsite, by working to a high standard of safety. Working so closely to the water Alan was able to employ environmental controls which prevented any contamination of the water and surrounding environment. We had Alan come in to do the final prep for the driveway. We had a reasonably steep driveway and his advice around angles, slot drains and sumps really made all the difference. He took on arranging further drains from below a porch, lifting all the garden boxing and building additional boxing to bring the sump up to new height.
